Who it is for

For project firms that close the month from data scattered across Jira, Tempo, and spreadsheets

Software houses · agencies · consulting firms

WorkTotal does not have to replace Jira, Tempo, or how you track time today. It connects the data needed to approve and close the month.

Data sources

Time from the process the company already has

No extra tracker — WorkTotal uses approved time from your current source.

  • Import from a CSV or XLSX file.
  • Optional import from Tempo (Jira Cloud).

Close scenario

Two independent tracks

Close costs and get projects billing-ready separately

Project-side gaps do not block closing valid costs.

Contractor costs

  • Gap detection before close
  • Correct rates and terms in the period
  • Formal cost close

Projects billing-ready — independent of costs

Checks contracts, rates, and approvals — export only when data is ready.

Amount transparency

Explain every amount — even after the period is closed

Every amount traces to time, terms, and rates. A correction creates a new version — the previous stays.

  1. Final amount
  2. Person or project
  3. Approved time
  • A new close version instead of a silent overwrite
  • Previous value stays in history
  • Difference, date, and reason stay visible

Current process

Keep the tools that already work

No Jira replacement — WorkTotal adds close: gaps, settlements, and finance export.

  1. Approved time comes from a file or Tempo.

  2. WorkTotal flags gaps and prepares settlements.

  3. Accounting and invoicing receive orderly data.

WorkTotal pulls data from Tempo in one direction. It does not change time entries or approval statuses in Tempo.
